Putting the "Fun" in Fundraising!

Bowling is a great way to raise money for your organization. Easier, and more fun than a carwash! Below are our most popular fundraisers.Call or email us so we can find a fundraiser that works for you.

Bowling Days

Tell your group a specific day and time span to come to Capitol Bowl. Our staff keeps track of everyone who identifies themselves as part of your fundraiser. At the end of the day, we immediately donate a percentage back.

Tournaments

A great fundraiser for businesses, fraternities, sororities and athletic clubs. Charge each team an entry fee for three games. Anything above the “lineage” you keep. Add raffles or a silent auction to boost donations even.

Types of Fundraising Opportunities

Corporate Lane Sales

How it Works:
Pick a date and time for your event. Your group “sells” a lane to businesses and groups in the area for a tax-deductable contribution. Each lane accommodates up to six bowlers and includes shoe rental. You pay Capitol Bowl a discounted rate for the lane and shoe rental and your group keeps the rest. You can choose to include food and drinks with the lane.

Add a silent auction, sell t-shirts or sell drawing tickets during the event to raise even more money.

Example:
You charge $100 per lane for two hours of bowling and shoes. You pay Capitol Bowl $50 and your group keeps $50. If you sell all 20 lanes, your group raises $1,000. If you change $200 per lane, your group raises $3,000.

Sell-a-Party

How it Works:
Pick a date for your event. Your group sells tickets that include two games and shoe rental. You pay Capitol Bowl a discounted rate for the games and shoe rental and your group keeps the rest. You can choose to include food and drink tickets. People can come in any time during your bowling day.

Example:
You charge $11 per ticket for two games and shoes (Capitol Bowl’s regular rate.) You pay Capitol Bowl a discounted price of $7 and keep the additional $4. If you sell all 100 tickets, your group raises $400.

League Rebate

How it Works:
Your group forms a short-season, fun league. League bowlers pay a weekly fee (most of our leagues are between $14 and $15 a week). You pay Capitol Bowl the normal league fee of $10.50 per bowler, per weeks and you keep the rest. You can add quarter frames, 50/50 raffles and other fundraisers throughout the league to add to the fun and increase the amount your group raises. Capitol Bowl takes care of all the paperwork and accounting for you!

Example:
The following table shows what your group would raise if you had eight teams of four people.

# Weeks League Fee Raised per Bowler Raised Weekly Total Raised
8 $15 $4.50 $144 $1,152
10 $15 $4.50 $144 $1,440
12 $15 $4.50 $144 $1,728

Big Turkey Tournament

How it Works:
Pick a date and time for the tournament. Teams of four pay $100 to participate in the tourney, which included three games, shoes and prizes. All bowlers will have a handicap score. (Leagues bowlers bring their handicap, otherwise Capitol Bowl assigns one.) Sell mulligans for $1 per ball. All mulligans must be used of forfeited; no monies are returned for unused mulligans. Capitol Bowl will tabulate all the scores and you can award prizes at the end.
You can augment the event by charging more and including a pizza buffet, or by having additional events for good bowlers (like a split pickers challenge), having a silent auction or raffle.

Example:
You sell 20 teams of four for $100 and pay Capitol Bowl $50 per lane. Your group raises $1,000. In addition, you sell 80 mulligans for an additional $80. You can change an addition $5 per bowler for a split-pickers tournament.

Bowling Day

How it Works:
Your group designates a day as your bowling day. When people come in that day and identify themselves as bowling for your organization, Capitol Bowl donates a percentage of the sale to your organization.

Example:
100 people come in on your bowling day, each spending $12. Capitol Bowl donates 15% to your group, totaling $180.
